What is Hospice
Hospice Care is a type of palliative care provided to individiuals approaching their end-of-life journey. Hospice care works to provide comfort, care, and and convenience by providing medical care and caregiving support to patient in the comfort of their home regardless of where home is a private residence, a nursing home, or an assisted living home.
Who Qualifies for Hospice Care?
Individuals with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, ALS, Lung Disease, Heart Disease, Liver Disease, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Renal Disease, or a qualifying disease may qualify for hospice care. How Much Does Hospice Care Cost?
Hospice Care is provided at zero cost to patients who have Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medi-Cal, or private insurance. Once under hospice care, existing medication and medical equipment is provided by the hospice at zero cost to you.
